Why Know presents its five-day, grade-appropriate curriculum in almost 60 schools in Chattanooga and north Georgia. In the 2006-2007 school year, Why Know worked with more than 13,000 teens in our area! Revised and updated in 2006 to contain new activities and medically accurate information, the public school curriculum addresses pressing issues such as sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, puberty, the importance of standards and boundaries, peer and media influences, decision-making, and healthy relationships. The Why Know curriculum is Tennessee’s largest and most successful abstinence education program, and is being taught in more than 40 states and 11 foreign countries.
